Blog Makeover ;)
Theme Makeover!
I decided to change the theme of my blog to adapt it to the design of my production company logo, I had to, not only change the colour and font of the general theme, but of each blog post I made to make everything match. It took me quite a long time but it was well worth it. Here is my logo:
First of all, I decided to make the theme a dark theme as opposed to the previous light one to match the neat, modern look of the logo. Then, I used an app to identify the exact HTML colour codes of the pink, blue/gree and yellow shades of the icon; these are:
- Pink: #ff0090
- Blue/green: #7e9d8b
- Yellow: #b09856
After playing around with the theme colours, I came up with a good combination for where to put each colour on the general theme, making pink the main colour after black, because it is the main colour on the icon. This three-colour palette is very effective as it creates a sense of house design while not being boring and adding a technicolour effect that appears very modern.
Before and after of the designs:

The first design is very clean-cut and black and white, but I wanted to give it some personality and now there is a more personal and pop look which I prefer.
Unfortunately, I did not take a screenshot of the posts before the new theme, but the background was white and each post had its own colour scheme, with one predominant colour. However, I changed all of that to make a defined structure that I could follow in all my posts:
Main heading- pink
Headings- blue/green
Minor Headings- yellow
Highlighted words- pink
Next Steps:
Now, I want to place my production company logo as the wallpaper for my blog, which has proven to be a more difficult job than I had thought at first because of the resolution. I might also try and be more creative and create a gif with my logo, but only if I can find a feasible way to do so that does not take me so much time and interfere with the rest of my work!
*Update*- I have finally designed the wallpaper for the blog, not only using the logo but adding images with relationship to the subject of Media Studies and my current film project! :)
